Cereal Necklaces

Cereal Necklaces

Cereal necklaces are both an activity and a snack all in one! String a few, eat a few. String a few, eat a few. All you need is your favorite “O” cereal and some lace/string. String works on both fine motor and visual motor skills.IIf placing onto a wiggly lace is too tricky, you can use a piece of dry spaghetti by either holding it for your kiddo or placing it vertically into play doh.

Cereal necklaces are a great way to work on early patterning. For the younger kiddos, like Chloe, use an AB pattern (for example orange/green/orange/green) and for older kiddos ABC or AABB. Get creative and get snacking!
