Summer is quickly coming to an end, and although we love summer, we also get really excited for Fall crafts and activities. Here is a list we compiled of some of our favorite fun Fall activities for Kids.
1. Pumpkin Hammering
Don’t toss out your pumpkins or let them get too old before you can use them for hammering practice! Grab some old golf tees and a toy hammer and get to hammering! This activity is really fun and a great way to work on fine motor and visual motor skills.
2. Make a Play Dough Turkey!
This quick and easy play dough recipe is perfect to keep your little ones happy while you bake, and you probably have most of the ingredients on hand. We love this recipe because it is fast and easy and provides hours of fun!
3. Leaf Rubbings
Nothing says “Fall” more than leaf rubbings! Ok, maybe a Pumpkin Spice Latte, but this works too! Trek outside with your kiddo(s), grab some fallen leaves, paper, and crayons and create your masterpieces!
4. Pine Cone Bird Feeder
We love play that mixes food, diy, and nature! Check out our post on how to make a simple pine cone bird feeder.
5. Make a Thanksgiving Meal
If you happen to know us, you know that we are huge fans of Melissa and Doug Sticker Scenes! A great one to use during this time of year is the “Make -a-Meal” Sticker Pad. Kids love putting together different combinations of food on their plate. There is a large variety to choose from, which is great for learning and expanding vocabulary.
6. Sneaky Snacky Squirrel
Looking for a fun, easy game to do with the family? Check out Sneaky, Snacky Squirrel by Educational Insights. Your kids will love helping the squirrel stock up on acorns to prepare for the cold winter. Help them take turns spinning a dial and using tongs to pick up acorns. Check out our post on Sneaky Snack Squirrel to see more details and ideas for adapting this for play.
