How to Make Chocolate Play Dough

It’s no secret…Kids and Grown ups love chocolate! Here is a quick and easy recipe you can use to make the yummiest smelling chocolate play dough. Perfect for pretend cake baking or cookie making! So good!

Ingredients: 

  • 2 tbs. cooking oil
  • 4 tbs. cream of tartar
  • 2 cups of flour
  • 1 cup of salt
  • 2 cups of water
  • 1/2 cup of cocoa powder

Grown up work: Cook on the stove top over medium heat while mixing continuously until it begins to thicken. Place onto wax paper to cool. You can always add a little oil if too dry or a little flour if too wet feeling. 

Kid work: 

  • Pouring and stirring up ingredients
  • Pouring the rainbow rice into the dough
  • Squishing and squeezing until the rice or color mixes into the dough
