Sweet Sensory Bin with Letters

Looking to provide your child with exposure to pre-literacy and pre-writing practice? Check out this sweet sensory bin we made with alphabet cookies and frosting!

We love getting creative with pre-writing and adding a tactile component. Practicing in shaving cream, sprinkles, play dough, rice, sand, etc., works on fine motor skills, visual motor skills, and tactile processing.

Materials:

  • Ikea Flisat Table
  • Rainbow Rice Sprinkles
  • Frosting (Use whatever recipe works for you!)
  • A Cake Platter
  • Trader Joes Letter Cookies

Coco got messy and practiced matching letters and pre-writing strokes, and really enjoyed mixing the “sprinkles” and frosting together!
